Chocolate Chip Cookies are my all time favorite cookies….from my earliest of memories, I have always loved them…the {ooier and gooier} they are, the better!!! Recently, I went on a chocolate chip cookie recipe testing mission and after many, many, many….many batches, I’ve mastered MY personal favorite recipe and am quite happy with the results.
Ingredients:
Dry :
1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
1 tsp of baking powder
1/4 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of salt….plus a sprinkling on each cookie after baking
Wet :
10 tbsp of unsalted butter at room temperature
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
1 bar of Ghiradelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar that has been broken by hand in small pieces or chopped with knife in chunks. (You can totally add 2 bars if you like them super chocolaty!! I do!!!…insert a wink…)
How to:
Preheat oven to 375°. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and combine with a fork or whisk to blend. Meanwhile, in a stand mixer, mix the room temperature unsalted butter and the sugars together until combined and creamy. Once the mixture is fully combined and creamy and pale in color, add the eggs and vanilla and mix accordingly. In small batches, add the flour mixture until just combined. Add the chocolate to the cookie mixture and mix again until combined.
