Well….here we go! It’s another #tryanewrecipeTuesday!!!
I recently had a yummy, cheesy, spicy biscuit for breakfast at a very well known Texas fast-food chain that I know was packed with glorious fat and tons of goodness calories, so I decided that I would attempt at making my own Yummy, Cheesy, Spicy Biscuit!!!! Here’s how I did it….
In a bowl,
combine the flour, baking powder, salt, dried thyme, paprika
and garlic powder until combined.
Cut in the cold butter with a pastry cutter
and when the mixture is all crumbly, pour in the milk
slowly while stirring at the same time.
Next, add the cheddar cheese and the diced jalapeno to the biscuit mixture.
Once the mixture is all combined….not over mixing….
turn onto a floured surface and knead it several times before rolling it out into
a 1/2 inch thickness. Once this step is completed,
cut the biscuits with a biscuit cutter and place on an
ungreased baking sheet.
Bake the Yummy, Cheesy, Spicy Biscuits at 450 degrees
for 12 minutes.
ENJOY!!!
